Hydrogen is set to play an important role in decarbonisation and energy security in the UK

• Hydrogen- Estimated to contribute ~10% of total global greenhouse gas emissions abatement required by 2050 (IRENA, 2021)
• UK Hydrogen Strategy seeks to establish 10 GW of low carbon hydrogen production by 2030, with up to 60% by electrolysis
  using renewable electricity.
• UK pipeline of 250+ identified projects totalling approximately 27 GW of potential hydrogen production capacity to 2030.
• Deployment of this hydrogen production is heavily reliant on other elements of the UK Net Zero Strategy e.g., offshore wind.
